The passengers traveling in Kerala has increased a lot in last few years. Especially after cutting down the train ticket rate and increasing the bus charges and petrol charges. As the capital of the state, people travel in and out in Trivandrum has increased dramatically and number of train starting from Trivandrum central railway station has doubled.
Now a day we can see a lot of queue has obtained at the ticket counter hours before the departure of train .even though has having 6-8 counters in the Trivandrun central rail way station . But most of the people are not able to get tickets and get into concerned train on time. It has regularly seen the people are missing train. Even though they have tickets with them. So it has been found that their should more facilitation for arranging tickets to the passengers in different parts of Trivandrum district . So that the people can avail tickets at any time when they need ed . Prior to this ,railway has started a facilitation center at Pattom 2yrs back and it is very successful story . In this regards railway has decided to decentralized ticket facilitation center in and out of the city .
As a part of this we are starting a facilitation center at Vazhuthacaud, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
